Strange, you would think the High 1920x1080 option would be a larger file size than the Standard pick. Try taking the .avi file and converting it to mp4 with something like Handbrake or MPEG Streamclip and run into if you get amend quality with either one of those two.

I have just tried using handbrake, it only reduced the lag a chip. Quality is the same, bad, somewhat too depression.

Good ideas but the OP is not using a camcorder. Activity! is game/screen recorder software. The clip the OP links to is just a couple of seconds in duration and hence the pocket-size file size.
